Below are aids that I have found to help hugely in my daily trials with chronic illness.
Light Sensitivity
Blue light glasses to reduce the glare from any bright lights and also media screens. I find that I have to wear these constantly when lights are on, otherwise the lights are causing me to have visual migraines. I also wear premium sunglasses whilst driving or in direct sunlight and highly recommend Ray Bans.
The glasses below are the exact model I use daily and have a link attached.
Aches and pains
I use a plug-in electric pad that is about 2 feet by 1 foot in size. The pad has 6 heat settings and auto power off. I like to lie down on the pad in bed before going to sleep to reduce the pain.
The heat pad in the link below is the one I use and have found to be faultless in the 12 months that I have owned it.
Fatigue
When I’m having a severe fatigue attack, I struggle to shower as I find the process exhausting. I invested in a small adjustable shower stool, which I have found to be amazing. If only I had bought it sooner. Now I can happily sit in the shower and feel the warmth and wash at my own pace.
Height Adjustable Round Shower Stool
I also want to get a folding walking stick but cannot come to terms with it yet as I’m still relatively young.
